PTSA Leadership Opportunities: Our PTSA board has returning members for the 2024-25 school year, but we still need more parents to step forward and take on the following roles with us!Sign Up Now

Media Center Volunteers: Our amazing media center director, Mr Mason, would love some parent help in keeping our media center running this year. He will decide how much he needs these volunteers so add your name to the list if you enjoy library work during the school day.

School Store: Help sell school supplies and spirit-wear directly to our HMS students! The school store will be open just off the cafeteria. Must be available before/during school hours to volunteer for the store.

8th Grade Committee: Open to 8th grade parents only. This committee will be led by an experienced PTSA Board Member, to make our 8th graders feel special, especially at the end of the year. You’d help with celebrations, awards, and events specifically for our 8th grade students.

Team Parents: Think of this role as “Room Parent” but for your student’s TEAM. You’d help your team of teachers to get communication out to parents of that team, get volunteers and supplies if they need them, send reminders, celebrate teacher birthdays, and also communicate between the PTSA and your team. You may be helping to raise funds for your team of teachers for field trips, team T shirts, etc. Each team of teachers is unique in their needs and how they operate. You’d be volunteering under the guidance of our Team Parent Coordinator who will send information to you throughout the year. Please specify which grade level you are on.

Hospitality / Teacher Appreciation: These volunteers will help our TWO amazing Committee Chairs to make little gifts and moments of recognition happen for our teachers and staff. Some of this can be done on your own time and dropped off, and other times we’d need volunteers on this volunteer list during the school day to set up appreciation lunches, breakfasts, deliver little surprises, etc. This is a big part of what PTSA does to make our staff feel appreciated and supported. If you’re good at making cute gift baskets, decorating, event planning, serving food to a group, enjoy being in front of and chatting with our staff, . . . this is your committee.

General Volunteers: Add your name to this list to be in our general pool of volunteers to help whenever it’s needed! It may be during school days, on weekends at school related events, or after school hours, so it just depends on what the needs are! This is an easy one to sign up for and then volunteer when the right opportunity arises that fits your schedule.
