Annual Verification for Returning Students
Want to check something off the summer to-do list? Complete Annual Verification and avoid the back-to-school rush! DCSD requires all returning students to complete mandatory Annual Verification.
To complete the Annual Verification process, a parent or guardian must have an active Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. This account is essential for reviewing and updating your student’s information for the upcoming school year and receiving communications from DCSD.
If you do not yet have a Parent Portal account, please visit the DeKalb County School District’s website for setup instructions.
If you’ve forgotten your username or password, you can retrieve them by selecting the appropriate link (“Forgot Username?” or “Forgot Password?”) on the login page.
Registration for New to DCSD or Recently Moved Students
New to DCSD or recently moved? It’s time to verify and register! The district is opening four registration hubs this summer to help families register their students for the following school year. The hubs will include staff assistance, computers, and multilingual support. Please see this link for more information. Need more support? See important info here or contact the HMS Main Office at (678) 874-2902.
Update your Student and Directory Information on Membership Toolkit
Our newsletter, signups, and some PTSA donations use Membership Toolkit. If you already have a Membership Toolkit account from last year or with another school, you can use that info to log in here and skip to step 5. Note: DeKalb County requires schools to use TOTEM for PTSA Membership (see subsequent section).
Membership Toolkit Steps:
- Create an account using this link.
- Select New User > Create Account, and follow the prompts.
- Click "verify my email" and then check your email for a link. The link expires in 2 hours. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folders.
- Verify your email.
- Log back in and finish the registration process: add your contact and student information and set your directory publish preferences.
- Use your account to subscribe to our newsletters and keep up-to-date with HMS happenings.
Join HMS 2025-26 PTSA!
Become a member of PTSA (or renew your membership) to provide support for HMS students and staff ($12/adult per year)! Joining PTSA does not mean you're required to serve on a committee or volunteer, but we’d love to have you. Your membership dues and any additional donations to the PTSA go right back into making our school better. Connect with our community of families, students, and staff through the PTSA!
HMS uses Totem for PTSA registration. Join here!
Register for School Meals (School Café)
Register for school meals and set up your students' account at School Café. Complete your application for free and reduced school meals. This is mandatory for all families to fill out as it impacts our Title 1 reimbursement. Have questions about school meals? See cafeteria personnel at Open House or call the helpline at 1-855-729-2828.
